holiday in BALI , 11-14 Oct. 2008

Hi everybody,

it has been a long time since I wrote in my blog last sept. 2008. anyway, it's nice to be back, the ramadan has just passed and now everybody (muslims) is busy in the syawal month by having "open house". In fact today i just went to my friend's open hse in Shah alam. now the weather is raining almost every evening but not in Bali. I was in there last week & the weather was hot & humid. the crowd was everywhere, they just celebrated the 6th Anniversary of the bombing incident that happened on the
12th Oct., 2002. They were 202 people( mostly foreigners) died at the bombing and 82 of them were Australians.
my wife & me spent 2 days on sightseeing all over the Island (though not all). There are so many things to see & visit, a lot of historical and cultural events..the beach is beautiful...we were staying at holiday Villa on the Sanur Beach. while we were having breakfast overlooking the beach we could see people from all over the world swimming and surfing in the sea.

holidays in goldcoast, australia

hi there,
I'm back, was away in Goldcoast for a holidays...it was my 2nd time in Australia but the 1st time at goldcoast. Was in Sydney just after the Olympic 2000 with others in family. This time brought my second son Ewan who did not go the last time. Been complaining to me for the last 8 years, why he was left behind at that time?

wheater is cold. at night as low as 4 celcius but at day time it was somewhere between 18-22 celcuis, it was still Winter but by now it's already Spring in Australia. we flew by AirAsia and landed directly at Coolangata Airport which is not far from the Goldcoast. We stayed at Nerang, i.e. at Cedar Lake Resort for a week (my wife is a member of RCI Int'l time sharing program)
managed to visit 2 Muslim/halal restaurants at Goldcoast which are not far apart from each other..both owned by Malaysians. A small plate of Chicken Tomyam was A$15.00 (about RM$45!)

DNA DNA DNA

it's been a while since my last blog, sorry I'm quite busy lately so didn't hv time to write anything. well in the newspapers everyday since last week...it's DNA, DNA, DNA,,,,!!!!

I think this DNA case is going out of hand, it's been blown out, I thought in our law the person has the right not to allow his blood to test on DNA. so what's going on. the case is close, police can find other ways. pls don't tell me in this world the ONLY way to solve problems is by using DNA?surely there are other ways. If it is the only way, then our life is easy, they won't be any more criminals in the world, just take the blood sample for DNA test.where's the creativity in solving many cases including sodomy or whatever.

I wonder why Pak Lah is concerned in interfering? I thought he said let the police handle the case...but Pak Lah, Syed Hamid, Ali Rustam, the list is endless everybody wants to join the band wagon in asking Anwar to do the DNA test. remember Allah is Almighty..today is Anwar's turn, but tomorrow it may be you, or your family, etc. In Islam if you hides the bad character of others, God will hide your bad character or mistakes you hv done in your life.that's all folks...I'm out of ideas for the moment, TQ

statutory declarations (S.D.)

what's going in Malaysia? it seems everybody loves to sign a statutory declarations saying that Mr. so and so is having an affair or do something against the law e. g. Anwar Ibrahim's case or Najib Razak's case. the funny thing is that, today they sign the S.D. at the Police Station and tomorrow they will pull back! they sign another S.D. saying that it was a mistake...they were under pressure & so on.

What the hell? they can play with legal procedures. I think these people should be kept in jails? they got no guts? let the police investigates if it's true, how can you simply change your statements? is it because somebody gives you something to pull back your accusations, etc? only God knows who's behind it? Hope one day the TRUTH will prevails!

a circus has arrived again in town

well, well, well...a circus has arrived again in town. you know what I mean..for the last few days the hot topics in the front page of every newspaper is Anwar Ibrahim! for the second time in his life he is charged on sodomy case. A 23 year old, Saiful Bukhari Azlan has lodged a police report alleging that he had been sodomised by Anwar several times at Desa Damansara condominium.
so my friends, the citizens of Malaysia..do you believe that accusations? well I don't know..let's wait after the police investigations.....Or is it really the works of some conspiracies as Anwar believed that the government or BN/UMNO is trying to stop him from taking over the government through his Pakatan Rakyat?
Both sides have their own arguments, Anwar says he's innocent but Saiful says the incident is true!
Will we see again the pillow or the mattress in court, just as what happened the last 10 years, how many witnesses will be called this time? WHO is the presiding Judge?the investigation officer? the Attorney General? The IGP? will Anwar be put in jail again before the trial or will he be hammered by the police again?all remains to be seen,. But whatever it is, if the event is really TRUE than sorry to say Anwar's career in politics is gone , the maximum penalty is 20 years if he is found guilty. By the time he's out from the jail he'll be 80 years old! Even if it's not true, can the police or the conspiracy plans well and make it really happen! This has happened in many places all over the world. the innocent can be put in jail! They will know how to fabricates to their advantage...all witnesses will be bought over so is the judge? To me the only thing that can helps Anwar, if he is really innocent; is Allah the Almighty, Nothing can stops Allah, not even the P.M., AG, or IGP, Ezam or anybody for that matters. Allah Hu Akbar! Allah is Great.

selangor government

for the past few days we see a lot of happenings in selangor. the new ruling govt. of Pakatan rakyat has just completed a 100 days managing or administrating the state....suddently we see some problems. MB's special officer resigned because he was not happy when the MB suspended him for 2 mths due to some issues, thru sms only.
well as some people say; one group cannot manage a winning team and another one cannot manage a losing team. Both teams has no experiences to handle the situation, well I guess if PR cannot handle the state properly, sorry to say the next election BN will takes over.
anyway let's wait for the internal investigation about the donation funds from the corporate that were supposed to be in the state's account? or was it for PKR's account. yahya (special officer of MB) has denied the accusations by Ezam (UMNO, former PKR). many questions remained unanswered...but we will see the end results who are rights. the MB should be partly to be blamed
too...esp. about the appointments of counsellors in the town councils.....where are Reformasi Warriors? Only the professionals are qualified to manage the councils?...it's not fair, remember they were the ones who make PKR's survival not the professional? Where were there during the Police's attacked on the reformasi demontrators? Give a few seats to them, they may not be lawyers or urban planner or architect but they can give some inputs dfrom the grass roots level.remember most corrupted people are profesionals not the SPM or diploma graduates?

rebate RM625.00

yesterday 14 June, 2008, Saturday more than 239,414 motor vehicle owners received their rebate, about RM 116.7 million from the government through more than 600 post offices all over the country (malaysia). I managed to claim the rebate at the early morning hours at University Technology MARA's Post Office, Shah Alam (UiTM). At first I went to the General Post Office, Shah Alam but there was a long queue, I guess it must be thousands of people.
at the UiTM I was the 10th person to receive the rebate RM625 because at that time the crowd was not much but on the way home I saw the crowd at UiTM was getting bigger. I was damn lucky to be one of the earliest people to receive the rebate( 9.30am), minus the 20 minutes computer breakdown!
anyway, this is the impact of the petrol prices that has gone up from RM1.92 to RM2.70 per litre. everybody is really in needs of the rebate though it's not much as compare to amount of money you have got to pay everyday for the petrol.
the Prime Minister has promised that the price of petrol RM2.70 per litre and RM 2.58 of diesel per litre till at least December, 2008. Let's hope it's true, I mean the price will remain the same. I wonder what will happen if the world's crude oil rise to US$200 per barrel before december? Now it's about US$138 per barrel. Will the price remain the same? just wait and see.
to all malaysians
we have to spend wisely and prudently as far as petrol consumption is concerned. we have to spend less on many things...eat less outside (McDonald's, pizza hut, etc) stop buying clothes unnecessarily and of course take more public transport.

unemployed graduates

today 11th. june is my birthday...hai everybody...may god bless you....
everybody knows that Malaysia is one of the prosperous countries in Asia, esp. if compare to many other countries like Sri Lanka,India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, just to mention a few. But at the same time in prosperity we are facing poverty in terms of unemployment. we have more than 60,000 graduates from universities/colleges and 200,000 high school students leave the schools every year.
what is going to happen when there's not enough jobs being created every year..I mean the production of students/graduates in the job-market is more than than the job demand??? Surprisingly, we import more than 2.5 million workers from Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, even from China and Africa are found in job-market here. Why this is happening? Is it our educational system is bad? we can't provide the skills for the job-market? or the students choose the wrong structure/courses? or the government's master plan is hire wire that creates confusion among the graduates. Sometimes the Govt. wants more science graduates for future mkt, suddenly they found it's too much. During Mahathir's era he wanted more ICT graduates, expecting of strong demand in ICT Industry (multi media super corridor project)...after 3-4 years..we have thousands of unemployed graduates in ICT. In fact ICT and biz studies graduates are the most unemployed graduates in Malaysia. Now there are talking about shortage of engineers, doctors and accountants.....all parents are sending their children (including the writer) to take these courses....I wonder what will happen in 4-5 years from now ( circa 2012-2013)? are these students in the above majors will be absolved in the job market concerned or are we back to square one....back to the drawing board?

....besides graduates, the SPM leavers--- those finishing their secondary school exams--are found all over the shopping complexes in KL City, lingering around, passing their time just talking, laughing and joking among themselves from morning till late evening! What a waste of time? But sometimes we can't blaim them because some of them did try to look for jobs, unfortunately jobs are limited for them. Unless of course they are willing to take over all those manual jobs that are given to foreign workers from Indonesia, India, Nepal, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines and many others. many of them are bumiputeras, not many chinese or indian-Malaysians are found hanging around the shopping complexes. Why is this happening? Probably the main factor is the culture or the attitude of young malays who like to lepak (hanging around) with their friends and their attitude of self improvement is slow or maybe they don't have the will power or desire to find or to spend a fruitful time that brings benefits to them in the future. of course once they are accepted for universities' admission..it's totally a different ball game together.
...all are being trained to become employees (E) in the future, their dads always advise them, "work hard in school, get good grades then go to university, after that get a good and decent job with the government." that's why you can see almost 80% of government employees are bumiputeras; infact in some departments there are almost 100% bumiputeras. but the non-bumis esp. the chinese...they are not interested working in the Govt., they might as well become self-employed (S)...they prefer to sell soya bean drinks or ABC ice water on the road sides rather than joining the army or police or any clerical jobs (SPM qualifications) in the Govt. sector. After several years..... if they are patient enough, work hard and smart...they will move from S to Business Owners (B). This is what the RICH Dad has been advising his son.
Robert Kiyosaki, the world renowned millionaire has been writing and giving talks all over the world about the Rich Dad and Poor Dad concept. The young Malaysians, the future generation should take his advice for the sake of the country........forget about looking for the limited job scope (E) but be a biz owner (B) or at least create your own jobs (S). If they are lucky enough, be an investor (I) in later years of their life! good luck guys......
